Michelle was not given just one flag, but three. One flag each for the new tribes, which she sorted.

There's no merge... and won't be for a while. Pirates fought to the death, and so will you. The tribes won't merge until one tribe goes extinct. So, for example, if Morgan died out, Drake and Balboa would merge into the new Morgan tribe.
Sandra's sword gave her the opportunity to stab and remove someone from the game. She chose Osten. Osten, you are officially out of the game.
Christa's key gave her the chance to unlock the Pre-Jury and choose someone to replace Osten. She chose Tijuana. Tijuana will join the Morgan Tribe in Osten's place, and be immune at the f10 tribal council if Morgan loses the challenge. Congrats, Tijuana!
The effects of Trish's skull are unknown to anyone but her.
Lill's poison gave her the chance to drastically disadvantage someone. What the effects are, and how to get rid of them, are unknown to everyone but Lill.
